What a lovely post, thank you Mattias (Dr. Desmet, apologies - you feel so close to us, because you give so much of your heart, that I feel like I know you personally!). I loved water in Finland - Canada has too much fluoride in it, it's terrible; I hope that I'll get to visit Iceland for the next solar eclipse and taste it then.

You are a poet, sir.

Dr. Desmet,

I purchased and read your book because of its title, "THE PSYCHOLOGY OF TOTALITARIANISM". Reading it explained to me, and allowed for understanding both my personal experience with US government and the falsehood of "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" here in America. An awakened, determined populace is intrinsically anti totalitarian. Witness: Lexington Green April 19, 1775. I think a proper "change" is coming.

As an aside, "democracy" comes from two Greek words meaning, "mob rule", which when directed, is totalitarian in thought, word and deed.

A little ancient Greek birdie told me that “democracy” can exist only in the lowest band of consciousness. Why, then, he further goes on, sing to the virtues of an entropic system created by the predator mind where therein can be no real virtue to placate real power, especially when we can evolve to be so much more? Democracy is shaped by its leaders, so, yes, I could evolve personally, dedicating myself, as I do, to the development of a true virtue ethic before entering into political pantheon, but firstly I will be governed by no man. So why I would want to govern others? I will be governed only by my direct relationship to God as that mad, palpable force of love, as I truly wish others, too, could experience. So, God help me if I were offered a leadership role, my first decree will be for y’all to go out and find yourself in the spirit of self-mastery, here’s the map and a box of tissues--on your way son. Know Thyself. Only when you know the universal flames within your own Self, can you know those flames everyone. But to recognise it? Now, why would you give voting rights to those who cannot see and thus prone to the deceptions of the serpent’s tongue? We are no such match to their delusions of grandeur, free food and quick-fix pills. ‘The Republic’ was more so speaking to the self-organisation of one’s own soul as a moderate being within and not without (or so I have read). And as for these objections of “totalitarianism”, how can that be if all the citizens are either divine, sovereign and free or well along their path to soul liberation? Soul is the essence of you existing in future time, in a higher triad of dimensions and experiencing your heart intelligences, the predators do their dirty work in the lowest triad of consciousness expression.

What I see in people’s eyes are both divine creation (including the future potential for everyone to rebuild their Krystal Cathedral to house the truth spirit so as to make their connection once again, i.e. techne) and all the pain and trauma of what came before. Why we were cut off from the eternal wellsprings of perfect love in the first instance and how our souls became severely fragmented, recycling in a blank state of metempsychosis which pulls us further and further into the past; mass psychosis precedes mass hypnosis. We were made to forget, unconscious as to what happened and why our wings were cut during the casual seed event of the Fall. And at this station of identity, if we cannot see, feel and know that everything has an innate intelligence, is alive and conscious with spirit, then we remain disconnected and manifesting for ourselves all manner of disease, pain, psychological schism and all-pervading soul-sickness. We all sense this as a deep cellular knowing but numb ourselves to the pain, this, we must face. Surely then we must focus on rebuilding our own spiritual connections (and talking openly about it, as you indeed do) in our service to group consciousness? If, that is, we are to move forward along the timescale towards freedom. We have democracy which has been of great use to our civilisation despite its foundation now withering away into space dust as it will in natural law, it is what it is, but what ought to be if we can move our consciousness outside of linear time, to experience all of time and beyond time in a holographic reality, i.e. spiral?

So I think the point Socrates is trying to make is (he doesn’t get out much in the common era), apologies when I expressed unchecked my deepest frustrations witnessing the circling around past transformations. It is not what you say but how you say it.

For a different but very related set of reasons of reducing political complexity and increasing the ease of understanding society, I was also thinking of small democracies recently. Of course, I don't think we do away with large nation states, as they are a necessary evil due to the danger of war. However, powers of local democratic governments can certainly be increases significantly in many parts of the world.

Recently watched the young Icelandic singer-songwriter Arny Margret open for Julian Lage in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Imo, her music is a fine soundtrack to, and corroboration of, Mattias’ thesis🎼👍🏾🕶️

Water is a sentient being as are plants, trees and so forth. Pure chrystaline unbroken formation of water depending upon human interactions was studied by Masaru Emoto. Masaru gets the Ignas Semmelweiss treatment in 'modern' day wikipoopia, ironically expected - in the Plastic Age Culture. Chief Sitting Bull lived and breathed Union with spirit, right action, & wisdom 24/7 in the practice of Reciprocity 'in all our relationships'. The clothing that touched his skin; from plant & animal origins, was prayed over in its assemblage. When i prepare my coffee, water from the ancient underground aquifer has no comparison in pure flavor to any other water; tap, bottle or otherwise. The further we drift from humble reciprocity to all, the sicker we become. Humility is sadly, in short supply in modernity and the concept of reciprocity even more so. My Six Nation friend expressed the fundamental divide between the notion of stewardship vs reciprocity. I choose the latter as best I can, given the times. Safe travels. Mitakuye owas'in.

The water sounds lovely in Iceland! I wonder if it’s available in our stores.

Nice piece--this reinforces my picture of Iceland as a great place.

Importantly, you have put your finger on one very important thing--"bigness" is killing us. I have always maintained that "Too Big To Fail" is simply "Too Big".

Beautifully written and with such warmth and hope. It felt like a 'remembering' of what was once normal but now feels just beyond reach. The human spirit prevails! Thank you Sir!

Unfortunately, the bureaucracy is what is ruling the US. Trump had a plan (F) to reduce the bureaucracy but he did not retain the presidency to implement it. Now the Biden administration has put in place a policy that would block that plan. Hopefully, if Trump wins he will be able to somehow implement a plan that will do the job

Wonderful text Mattias! I felt the vibes up to the Black Sea. Keep doing your important lectures, the world needs them desperately. I’m still writing regularly to Fuellmich to support him. The good will prevail.
