But I also think it’s worth looking closely and specifically at what went wrong, and where there’s still something worth preserving or rebuilding. Not everything is rotten to the core, even if some parts clearly need deep reform. I believe we get further by asking difficult questions and staying open to complexity—especially in times when trust is running low.
