When we realize this

and ACT to CHANGE it, we'll then be ready to actually Speak as "Human Beings"!

Until then...

Thank you for sharing, Mattias. I loved your book and I had many questions and reflections about it (so many, that I now wish to read many of your references in an effort to answer them!). I guess I am really curious about human psychology, as when I was 15 I became interested in so much of what you study and write - for instance, back then, I was secretly fascinated by Alice Miller and her book on Hitler's childhood - when I looked up some of your papers (sorry, had to! :)) I discovered that you had studied similar things. So you reminded me of it. Indeed, Eric Berne was a transformative book for me personally as well, I read it when I was around 20 and Games People Play is a book I cherish. As for your book, if I can summarize its impact, you have taken a bunch of broken hearts, from our global scatterplot, and masterfully connected them to one another, making a whole, big "plot" of a heart. We owe you much gratitude. Pen to paper, every syllable thoughtfully constructed, as if it was a painting. That is what came to mind as I read your book. I also took inspiration from your science journal, having picked one up (again). :-). When I was in university, struggling with math proving assignments, I would put various greek symbols in my journals, having no clue what I had written later on, lol. So I especially loved all the math metaphors (reminded me of reading Fermat's Enigma in Uni!) and also Gleick's Chaos reference. Thank you.

Dr. Eric Berne, an American psychiatrist, considered to be the father of 'Transactional Analysis' had much to say about why people seem to be incapable of thinking for themselves and instead immaturely defer to public opinion or the pronouncements of 'authority' figures.

You may have heard of his book that he wrote for the public or nonprofessional called, 'Games People Play'.

A very popular book was thereafter written to bring Berne's work to the public by MD Dr. Thomas Harris called, 'I'm OK You're OK'. In it, he renamed the three ego states (of Dr. Berne) present in a person, to: Parent, Child and Adult. Most people are only partially unconscious of these ego states that powerfully control the individual by the different motivations of these separate ego states. It is a must read for anyone interested in mental, emotional and spiritual maturity. Now to answer your concerns about the difference between 'belief' and 'values' in this context.

For many people who have not yet matured to operating with Adult executive function, belief is something adopted from authority figures such as teachers, ministers, parents etc. This is at the level of the ego state of 'Parent'. When all of these adopted beliefs are finally processed and sorted by the Adult mind applying Adult true values and Adult reason, many of these adopted beliefs are thrown out and some are incorporated and perhaps modified. These 'beliefs' now become well considered, well contemplated personal 'values', not just someone else's beliefs that we would simply defer to.

A quick summary of these 'ego states':

'Child' (Berne's 'Archeopsyche') is our automatic reactions to life situations we encounter that worked for the child attempting to maintain a degree of control over its world, but are no longer appropriate as an adult. An example of this would be a temper tantrum. The child discovers that it works to get its way, and then continues to unconsciously use this same strategy even as an adult when the behaviour is now clearly inappropriate.

'Parent' (Berne's 'Extereopsyche'), I have already described as the unconscious adoption of authority figure's beliefs; teachers, parents, church ministers etc. Public adoption of the 'science' of Fauci, Gates, WHO and the like are recent and devastating examples of activation of the immature ego state of 'Parent' where people en masse and overcome with fear, set aside their Adult executive function in deference to lying and deceiving authority figures.

'Adult' (Berne's 'Neopsyche'). This is the functional and rational adult generating authentic views and responding in appropriate ways to realities encountered in life. The Adult may be aware of the prejudices of the Parent, and of the proddings of the Child to react in a knee jerk way, but stays in the Adult and maintains Adult executive control. The Christian, and I would say superior corollary to this is 'Christ within' to whom we reference for wisdom and guidance and not only depend on our own limited rational powers or on our own 'wisdom' to direct our executive function.

Both Berne and Harris were secular authors but what they have presented are extremely valuable especially where the Adult is illuminated and informed by Christ living within.

Paul further illuminates:

"I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me."

Galatians 2:20

Dr Desmet, Thank you..."...we speak to harmonize disharmonious relationships - disharmonious relationships with other human beings, with nature, with ourselves … " For me this is a very powerful imagining. Fill your soul with beauty. Blessing

Iceland is indeed beautiful - the stark scenery helps to concentrate the mind in the most wonderful way.

Enjoy your time in this amazing country, and a huge Thank You for all you do 🙏❤️

But the Icelanders, whilst being kind & welcoming, are far too obedient to authority!

Thank you. I appreciate your work. It’s inspiring. It helps me understand things and realise I’m not crazy. It helps me feel less alone. It helps me make sense of why things feel the way they do. And gives me hope that my own work is worth doing.

I just wish to acknowledge your expansive contributions to the topics surrounding mind control and hypnotic suggestion. I'd also like to suggest that you and Dr Nehl get together for a discussion of his book, "The Indoctrinated Brain." My feeling is that we may be at a historic tipping point where a majority of human beings will break the chains of mental slavery once and for All. Many blessings Mr Desmet!

"From time to time I wonder, like most of you, I guess: why am I doing all this? And from time to time life sends me a little piece of the answer, through a sincere sign of gratitude of someone who read my book..."

I wouldn't be surprised if your message has improved millions of lives.

You were the first, as far as I know, to give us the blueprint during the early crazy years when we couldn't understand why most of our friends and families weren't seeing what we were seeing and didn't hear the call to speak out against it like we did.

You helped us realized:

1) The majority won't see what we see, and won't be inspired to speak out the way we feel we must speak out against the evil we see;

2) Given #1, there is no point waiting for confirmation from the majority: once we felt called to speak out, your message helped reinforce that there was no time to lose - we should move forward speaking out;

3) Free society depended on us doing #2. If enough of us spoke out, history shows we could save humanity from totalitarianism. If we didn't, we would probably go under.

Many of us are very, very thankful for your wisdom and early message.

thank you for these words, which make all the little ants feel less alone who also try, at their humble level, to undermine a little every day this totalitarianism which tirelessly tries to gain over us...
